Biography

Blake Mohr, CEO of Capitas Financial, joined Capitas Financial around its inception in 2002. Capitas’ vision was to create a franchise company that provided point-of-sale service and support to financial institutions and independent agents who are looking for comprehensive, sophisticated and unbiased insurance solutions to help clients build, preserve and distribute wealth.

Capitas Financial has grown significantly in the past 15 years, and is now a leading firm in the life insurance brokerage market. Capitas Financial is currently the largest point-of-sale organization in the United States, fostering growth and strategic partnerships with more than 20 major financial institutions and industry-leading insurance carriers.

With the development of the Capitas Financial franchise, Capitas has implemented a consistent and comprehensive service model that allows point-of-sale professionals to deliver an unparalleled selection of insurance products, as well as sophisticated technology and marketing capabilities. Before joining Capitas Financial, Blake was with ReliaStar for 14 years where he held several key senior management roles and was responsible for managing the company’s 401(k) business. Prior to ReliaStar, Blake was employed by Coopers & Lybrand as a member of their audit staff. Blake holds a B.A. in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and is a Certified Public Accountant® (CPA®).
